HES Energy Systems - subsidiary of Horizon Fuel Cells - is officially established

HES started powering experimental unmanned hydrogen-electric aircraft as early as 2005-2006. It established its main lab in Singapore in 2009, where it began working on a number of new hydrogen on demand technologies, with a goal to solve hydrogen infrastructure for unmanned drone applications and other weight sensitive applications. Its first prototypes were released in 2010 for an enclosed all-inclusive battery replacement product for small fixed-wing UAVs.

In 2017, HES began development of a hexacopter hydrogen drone, named HYCOPTER which has launched in July 2019. It has also moved its product development operations from Singapore to Austin, Texas.

More recently - the company filed patents for hydrogen electric passenger aviation systems both as propulsion and ground refuelling systems - with plans to enable a first hydrogen-electric passenger flight platform by 2025.

H3 Dynamics is building the future of fully autonomous aerial systems, where long endurance operations and flight durations are one of the key industry bottlenecks. 

As part of the H3 Dynamics group, HES products such as HYCOPTER can now link up H3 Zoom digital solutions platform, providing maintenance and security solutions across different industries

HES is working on hydrogen drone stations, so that hydrogen drones such as HYCOPTER can operate independently in the field and cover much larger areas and distances than today's battery drone stations.
